Swellings that grow inside and around the backchannel are known as piles (anal canal). The lining of the anal canal has a network of tiny veins (blood vessels). These veins might enlarge and become engorged with more blood than usual. One or more swellings may occur as a result of the engorged veins and overlying tissue (piles). although they might cause bleeding and pain. You should consult a doctor if they cause any bleeding or pain.
