The varicella-zoster virus is responsible for Chickenpox. The majority of instances occur in children under the age of 15, however, it can also affect older children and adults. It is quite easy to pass from one person to another. A painful, itchy rash is the most common sign of Chickenpox. The rash develops into fluid-filled blisters, which then scab over. It generally begins on the face, chest, and back, then spreads across the body.
