Endometriosis

When a woman is pregnant, the uterus, also known as the womb, is where the baby develops. The lining of the uterus is made up of tissue (endometrium). Another name for this condition is endometriosis, in which tissue that looks and behaves very much like the uterine lining appears in other parts of the body. Implants, nodules, and lesions are all terms for these areas of tissue. They can be found in abundance.
